Actress’ mum hands in evidence alleging attack before she drowned

AS investigation of the drowning of actress Pataratida Patcharawirapong, or Tangmo Nida, in Chao Phraya river last Thursday night continues her mother today (Feb. 28) handed a CD to the police that contain chats alleging she was attacked before she fell off the speedboat, Naewna newspaper said.

Informed sources said the CD Mrs. Panida Siriyuthyothin, Tangmo Nida’s mother, gave Muang Nonthaburi police station allegedly names one of her five friends as having attacked her moments before she plunged into the river and she wants police to verify whether this is true or not.

At 3 p.m. today Pol. Lt. Col. Prachuap Wongsuk, assistant police commissioner, led a team of forensic police to inspect the speedboat and collect more evidence after her friends had testified that she had gone to the stern to relieve herself but then fell into the river and drowned.

National Police Chief Pol. Gen. Suwat Jangyodsuk has also ordered the Provincial Police Region 1 investigation team to check the speedboat’s GPS for the direction it sailed that night and compare this with the testimony of five people on board at the time of the drawing.

Meanwhile four of the five friends of the actress who were with her on the speedboat joined TV Channel 3’s Hone Krasae chat show namely Por, Job, Kratik and Sand with the skipper Bird being absent because he is currently hospitalised, Sanook.com said.

Kratik shared some photos taken on her mobile phone from 5.43 p.m. onwards that evening. In some of them it can be seen that Sand was sitting at the stern.

Last photo of Kratik was taken at 10.13 p.m. by Tangmo after which she said she focused on enjoying the view and did not know where Tangmo went.

Job said he was sitting behind the skipper Bird and while he saw Tangmo walk by, he did not see what happened later.

Sand said he was lying down at the stern and going through his mobile with his head towards the bow and feet resting at the stern

Tangmo came and grabbed his ankle and sat down, telling him she was going to urinate but he did not look up to giving her privacy. 

However at that moment he pulled himself up telling her he had to balance himself because her pulling his leg could lead to him falling just then Tangmo slipped and fell into the river.
