DEPUTY Prime Minister-cum-Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul ordered an investigation of officials involved in issuing fake birth certificates and ID cards for state enterprise executives thus helping them put off their retirement, Naewna newspaper said this morning (Dec. 18).
Anutin said he had received a report on allegations made by Mr. Sitra Biabangkerd, or Lawyer Tum, secretary-general of the People’s Lawyers Team Foundation, that officials in his ministry had been helping state firm executives falsify their age to delay their retirement.
Whoever committed this wrongdoing will be investigated and punished, he added.
