THAI Airways International Plc announced this afternoon (May 10) that it has cancelled round-trip flights to and from Pakistan during May 10-15, 2025, as India and Pakistan have stepped up strikes, Naewna newspaper said.

Cancelled over the next five days are the following flights:

Flight TG341/TG342, round trip Bangkok – Karachi, May 10-11, 2025;

Flight TG345/TG346, round trip Bangkok – Lahore, May 10-15, 2025;

Flight TG349/TG350, round trip Bangkok – Islamabad, May 10-15 2025.

The airline said it is monitoring and evaluating the situation every day. If the situation in Pakistan shows signs of improvement, it is ready to arrange flights to bring Thais back to the country as soon as possible.

Passengers and Thais wishing to return home may follow developments at THAI’s Facebook page “THAI Corporate Communications” or dial 24-hour call centre 0-2356-1111 for assistance.

Pakistan said today that its airspace will remain closed to all types of flights until noon tomorrow (May 11). The closure was ordered as part of ongoing security measures amid rising tensions between Pakistan and India following recent escalation in military confrontation.

Meanwhile as many as 138 domestic and international flights to and from New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) have been cancelled for the day amid fresh tensions between India and Pakistan. The cancellations were a result of the closure of multiple airports across the country in view of the rising tensions and heightened security, New Indian Express said today.

According to the airport officials, the cancelled flights include four international arrivals, five international departures, 63 domestic arrivals and 66 domestic departures. Owing to the uncertainty, the Delhi airport has issued an advisory for passengers. The airport authority asked passengers to reach the airport early to ensure that security checks can be done on time.

They added that passengers should check their flight status before leaving their houses. “Delhi Airport operations remain normal. However, due to evolving airspace conditions and strengthened security measures, there may be an impact on some flight schedules and longer processing times at security checkpoints,” said the advisory.
