PRIME MINISTER Paetongtarn Shinawatra said this evening (May 25) before flying to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to attend the 46th Asean summit that her trip to UK and Monaco was far from being a vacation with progress made on bringing Formula 1 city circuit Grand Prix to Thailand, Amarin TV said.
The Prime Minister said it was only on the last day that she had a bit of time to walk around the airport having been working throughout.
She held talks with the British Department of Trade and Industry about the market there and what products are required as well as the possibility of working out a Free Trade Agreement.
“We talked in detail, which is definitely beneficial,” she said.
The Prime Minister also had an audience with Prince Albert II of Monaco.
Paetongtarn met Formula 1 executives there and there is now a good chance that a conclusion will be reached on hosting a city-circuit Grand Prix in Thailand.
There will likely be more clarity on this issue in two to three months’ time.
