THE PEOPLE’S WILL BE the only contesting party to resolutely deny Caretaker Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul a prolonged premiership after the Feb.8 election whilst all other parties may effortlessly do otherwise, confirmed People’s leader Nattapong Ruengpanyawut today (Jan.22).
If the People’s fail to come out as the largest elected party in the nationwide election, the elected lawmakers of the reformist camp will certainly not vote Anutin, who concurrently acts as leader of the Bhumjaithai, core of the caretaker government, for prime minister again though the other parties would probably be inclined to do otherwise, according to the People’s leader who himself is among a trio of partisan contestants for prime minister.
The other camps would simply jump onto the potential bandwagon of a Bhumjaithai-led coalition government and be part of the executive branch. Nattapong said.
Apart from the People’s, those contesting parties would almost certainly compromise the naming of their respective candidates for prime minister in exchange for their being brought into a Bhumjaithai-led coalition with Anutin being finally given the opportunity to retain his elected premiership, according to the People’s leader who has reconfirmed the unfaltering stand of the reformist camp to no longer support the Bhumjaithai leader for prime minister after the Feb.8 election.
Nattapong apparently referred to the likes of the Pheu Thai under de facto party boss/inmate Thaksin Shinawatra and the Klatham, currently a coalition partner of the caretaker government under de facto party boss/Deputy Prime Minister-cum-Agriculture & Cooperatives Minister Thammanat Prompao, among others, who are more or less anticipated to join the potential core of a future government under de facto Bhumjaithai boss Newin Chidchob.
He called on prospective voters nationwide to give the People’s so many votes in both party-listed and constituency-based modes that they eventually emerge as the largest elected camp and consequently get hold of the executive branch.
