Coronavirus blows lead to Phuket resort shutting down

ANOTHER BUSINESS ENTITY knocked down by the impact of the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak is U Zenmaya Phuket Resort which has announced on its Facebook page that it is shutting down on July 31, 2020, Sanook.com reported this afternoon.

In a Thai-language message posted at this page, the resort said, “thank you all our fans and all the others for your constant support in every way. However because of the current impact of the outbreak of coronavirus (Covid-19) which is affecting the resort it will not be able to open again in the near future.”

The hospitality group U Hotel and Resorts said it will be halting the management of U Zenmaya Phuket Resort on July 31 at 11.59 p.m. Those who wish to contact this group were told to send an email to reserve@uhotelsresorts.com.

The group’s staff members will be contacting customers who have paid in advance via email to proceed further. The resort’s Facebook page will also be deleted at 11.59 p.m. on July 31.

U Hotel and Resort said it is ready to welcome guests at other hotels the group manages in Thailand Indonesia, Laos and Vietnam.

According to Tripadvisor.com, U Zenmaya Phuket is a five-star boutique hotel located at Kalim beach, near Patong Beach, and features 50 rooms.
