A LAWYER who is one of the leaders of People’s Party 2020 said in his Facebook post today (Jan. 26) that he has received a letter from the Lawyers Council Under the Royal Patronage that he is now facing etiquette investigation, Siam Rath newspaper said.
Anon Nampha, a well-known political activist, said in his post he was quite tired when he returned from a hearing today only to come across this letter on etiquette investigation for revocation of his licence.
He added that this investigation stemmed from his “Harry Potter” speech on August 3 last year at a rally in the Rachadamnoen area.
To him the probe is quite ridiculous because political activism is not related to the performance of one’s duties as a lawyer.
Anon pointed out the call for monarchy reform is a more important issue.
He also mentioned that if the council does revoke his licence then he will turn to selling larb (a Thai meat salad) and should he become rich would be able to help more people.
