Two beauty pageant contestants test positive for coronavirus

OF the over 60 beautiful women who arrived in Thailand to compete in the “Miss Grand International 2020” pageant taking place in Bangkok on March 27 this year two of them, from Nigeria and Kenya, have tested positive for coronavirus, Thai Rath newspaper said this evening (March 4).

The eight Miss Grand International pageant is taking place at Show DC Hall in Bangkok having been moved to Thailand from Venezuela because of the coronavirus pandemic. Valentina Figuera of Venezuela will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Upon their arrival the beauties underwent the Covid swab test and Miss Grand Nigeria and Miss Grand Kenya got positive results.

They have been admitted to Piyavate Hospital while the remaining contestants have been quarantined in a hotel which has been thoroughly cleaned and sterilized.
