Covid surging in Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan

THE Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration’s (CCSA’s) spokeswoman Dr Apisamai Srisangson said this afternoon (May 12) that the smaller panel is discussing measures to implement in Bangkok and its neighbouring provinces where the infection rate is now collectively more than what is occurring in 71 provinces nationwide, TV Channel 7 said.

Coronavirus cases are dropping in the provinces with 18 of them now being white areas where there is no infection whatsoever.

However the trend is rising in three provinces, with there being 976 cases in Bangkok today, 266 in Nonthaburi and 110 in Samut Prakan.

it is now necessary to mobilise medical teams from other provinces to help the crisis in Bangkok and its vicinity. The authorities are also mobilising to give the first coronavirus jab to 70% of the residents.

Just in Bangkok there are 12 important clusters under surveillance with these being: 1. Klong Toey slum community; 2. Bon Kai and Bon Kai Kheha communities, Pathumwan district; 3. Workers camps at Morawan, On Nut, Suan Luang district; 4. Sampeng market; 5. Baan Yuan community, Dusit district; 6. Din Daeng flat community, Din Daeng district; 7.
