NATIONAL Police Chief Pol. Gen. Suwat Jangyodsuk told reporters today (August 7) that a suspect in the rape and murder of a Swiss woman tourist at Phuket’s Ton Ao Yon waterfall on Tuesday August 3 had been arrested, Sanook.com said.

However he refused to reveal the details of the suspect held in the rape and murder of Mrs. Nicole Sauvain-Weisskopf, 57, a Phuket Sandbox tourist.

He also refused to confirm whether the suspect was a 33-year-old Myanmar national or a 27-year-old Thai man, as had been earlier reported were the key suspects.
