Two renegade MPs ousted from Pheu Thai Party

By Thai Newsroom Reporters

TWO RENEGADE MPs of Pheu Thai Party were today (Oct. 12) ousted from the opposition party and are yet to join another one instead.

Pheu Thai Party’s executive board members and Pheu Thai MPs cast overwhelming votes to oust MP Saranwut Saranket and MP Pornpimol Thammasarn with immediate effect, according to Pheu Thai secretary general Prasert Chantararuangthong.

Saranwut, an MP of Uttaradit, had been repeatedly critical of Pheu Thai Party while Pornpimol, an MP of Pathum Thani, had allegedly leaned towards the ruling Palang Pracharath Party.

Nevertheless, they are currently given a 30 days’ time to be registered as members of another party to legally maintain their MP status.
