THREE PALANG PRACHARATH MPs were yesterday (Nov. 2) ordered by court to immediately stop doing their legislative duties pending a verdict on a misconduct charge earlier filed against them.
The Supreme Court judges in charge of criminal lawsuits against politicians ordered Palang Pracharth MPs Mr. Virat Ratanaset, Ms Tasaneeya Ratanaset and Ms Tasanaporn Ketmethikaroon to immediately stop performing as lawmakers until the court passes judgment on the misconduct lawsuit.
The Office of the Attorney-General has forwarded the case in court against the trio who has been accused of involvement in the alleged embezzlement of government funds for the construction of a futsal stadium in their home province of Nakhon Ratchasima.
Virat has performed as chief government whip, Tasaneeya is his spouse and Tasanaporn is his sister-in-law. The couple of female MPs currently represent constituencies of the northeastern province in parliament.
