Prayut might be named leader of Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party

PRIME MINISTER PRAYUT Chan-o-cha might probably be named leader of a brand-new Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, according to party founder Seksakol Attawong.

In next month’s general caucus of Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party, Seksakol said he would name Prayut as leader of his party if nobody else was found “better suited” to the post.

The assistant to the Prime Minister’s Office Minister commented that Prayut would need a certain party of his own to steer if Palang Pracharath Party no longer pitted him as premier after the next general election.

Seksakol reassured that his party would certainly name Prayut as its sole candidate for head of a post-election government only if the ruling party led by Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan declined to repeat what they did three years ago.

Palang Pracharath Party successfully named Prayut as candidate for premier following the 2019 election.

Without naming names, Seksakol said a number of prominent persons will cause  surprise by joining Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party and playing the roles of “keymen” with unfaltering, shared intent to help Prayut prolong his rule.

He said his party will gladly accept those who may finally abandon Prawit’s camp following last month’s exodus of ex-Palang Pracharath secretary-general Thammanat Prompow and 20 protege MPs.
