Bangkok logs 3,703 Covid cases out of 25,456 nationwide

THE BANGKOK Metropolitan Administration said of today’s (Mar. 17) 25,456 Covid cases and 77 deaths nationwide 3,703 were in Bangkok spread out across all 50 districts, Amarin TV said.

Of this total 2,878 were the capital’s residents while 825 came here for medical treatment from other provinces while the status of 37 patients is still being determined.

The top ten worst-hit districts are as follows:

1) Ladprao, 159 cases;

2) Chatuchak, 147;

3) Bang Khae, 134;

4) Saimai, 134;

5) Bangplad, 108;

6) Bangkok Noi, 101;

7) Watthana, 101;

8) Ratchathewi, 96;

9) Pom Prab Sattru Phai, 92;

10) Nong Khaem, 88.

Meanwhile, today’s national tally of 25,456 cases increased the cumulative confirmed total since the start of the pandemic to 3,276,098.

Another 21,244 people tested positive via ATK but this total was not added to the daily count.

An additional 22,217 patients were cured taking total recoveries since the start of the pandemic to 3,026,969 while 225,134 are still undergoing treatment.

Today’s 77 fatalities raised the death toll to 23,995.

Altogether 126,440,894 doses of vaccines have been administered so far.
