GOING viral on Thai social media is the promotion of a new ghost movie “Term 2 Sayong- Kwan” (Second Semester Horror) with a ghost cosplayer hired to stand by the roadside, sit at bus stops and walk across pedestrian bridges to draw attention to it with most netizens saying this is not funny, Matichon newspaper said this afternoon (Mar. 23).
This movie produced by Sahamongkol Film International is based on ghost stories in universities and stars teen favourite singers and actors such as Ms. Praewa Suthamphong, a member of Thai idol girl group BNK48’s Team NV, Ms. Panisara Rikulsurakan, or Care, Mr. Teeradon Supapunpinyo, or James, Ms. Sawanya Paisarnpayak, or Nana, Mr. Krit Jeerapattananuwong, a member of the band Three Man Down, and Ms. Kemisara Paladesh, or Belle.
The cosplayer tells passers-by, “Every year around graduation day someone who died needlessly roams around this area in a graduation gown. Those who run into her please take her to her university.”
This post was shared numerous times and attracted a lot of comments with many saying people who meet this “ghost” on the pedestrian bridge would quickly run away.
Others questioned whether promoting a movie this way would lead to road accidents.
