AN ARREST WARRANT has been issued for Ms. Wisapat Manomairat, or Sand, one of the five friends of actress Pataratida Patcharawirapong, or Tangmo Nida, who were with her when she drowned in Chao Phraya river during a speedboat trip in Feb., Matichon newspaper quoted Pol. Lt. Gen. Jirapat Phumchit, commissioner of Provincial Police Region 1, as saying this afternoon (Apr. 2).
The senior police officer mentioned that the warrant for the arrest of Wisapat was on the charges of “negligence causing the death of another person.”
Mr. Decha Kittiwittayanan, who is the lawyer of Tangmo Nida’s mother Mrs. Panida Siriyuthyothin, had revealed to online news portals that Pol. Col. Jaturon Anurakbandit, the superintendent of Mueang Nonthaburi police station, had told him that an arrest warrant had been issued for Wisapat on these charges.
Pol. Col. Jaturon later told reporters that additional charges of perjury had been filed against Mr. Tanupat Lerttaweewit, or Hi So Por, the speedboat owner, and Mr. Paiboon Srikanchananan, or Robert or Bird, the amateur skipper.
The two of them had been accused of falsely stating that they drank three bottles of alcohol whereas more than that had been consumed and also destroying evidence by discarding the glass bottles, he said.
He added that he still had to find out from police investigators whether the two of them had confessed to these charges or not.
