4-year-old boy boy drowns at pool villa in Bang Saray

 

A FAMILY staying at a pool villa in Bang Saray in Chonburi province during their holiday there were shattered after their four-year-old son drowned in the swimming pool last night (May 29), Amarin TV said.

Pol. Lt.Chidiya Thongchoi, a deputy investigator at Sattahip police station, said he was informed that the four-year-old boy, Falah Senluang, had drowned at a pool villa in Soi Pattama, Bang Saray subdistrict, at 8.30 p.m. last night.

Mr. Thanesaphol Poolkrachang, a Bang Saray subdistrict municipality firefighter, said after being informed of the child drowning at this pool villa he rushed there with his rescue equipment. 

He found the child unconscious and upon questioning his mother she replied that she did not know how long he was under the water but when she found him he was already beneath it.

Thanesaphol gave the child CPR before calling the hospital to take him for treatment.

Pol. Lt.Chiriya said the boy’s family, who are from Samut Prakan, had first been eating by the swimming pool where the boy was running around and playing.

They then moved to continue eating at the back of the villa but after a while noticed the boy had turned silent so came to check and found that he had drowned in the pool and quickly brought him up after which he was taken to the hospital.

As the boy’s family is Muslim his body has been taken for Islamic funeral rites. However after the ceremony the police will be interrogating them further about his death.
