WHILE the daily Covid count continued to dip with today’s (May 31) tally being 3,955 cases and 21 deaths, Bangkok remains the hardest hit with 2,167 cases being in the capital, Amarin TV said.
Today’s cases raised the nationwide cumulative confirmed total since the start of the pandemic to 4,450,457 and since the beginning of this year 2,227,022.
An additional 3,345 people tested positive via antigen kit with confirmation via RC-PCR still awaited and this total not added to the daily tally.
Another 6,607 patients were cured taking total recoveries since the start of the pandemic to 4,380,577 and since the beginning of the year 2,212,083 while 39,861 patients are still undergoing treatment.
Today’s 21 fatalities raised the death toll since the onset of the pandemic to 30,019 and from the beginning of the year 8,321.
Bangkok remained at the top of 10 worst-hit provinces today, with the addition of 2,167 cases raising the capital’s total to 358,123 cases. Details as follows:

2) Buriram 93 cases, totalling 48,211;
3) Samut Prakan 66 cases, totalling 98,721;
4) Nakhon Phanom 65 cases, altogether 13,215;
5) Khon Kaen 61 cases, altogether 53,823;
6) Chonburi 58 cases, adding up to 109,928;
7) Sakon Nakhon 58 cases, totalling 20,482;
8) Surin 55 cases, totalling 31,817;
9) Samut Sakhon 54 cases, altogether 56,986;
10) Udon Thani 54 cases, altogether 28,551.
