Special 3-day Apec summit holiday for Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan

THE CABINET approved a special three-day public holiday for Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakan provinces during the 29th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) summit being held during November 16-18, 2022, Matichon newspaper said today (Oct. 5).

This special holiday was proposed by the Foreign Ministry as there is only a little over a month left for the summit to be held with 21 member countries and economic zones participating.

Moreover Thailand is also holding Apec Economic Leaders’ Week (AELW or Apec Week) during November 14-19.

At the same time the private sector has organised a parallel Apec CEO Summit 2022 in the hopes of resolving trade and investment problems in the world’s largest trading market comprising one-third of the global population of nearly three billion people and GDP of US$53 trillion or 1,700 trillion baht.
