Guest attacks Indian landlord over key card fine

A WOMAN who had rented a guest room above an Indian restaurant in Pattaya slashed the Indian proprietor on the face with a hand sanitizer stand over a fine for losing the key card, Sanook.com said this afternoon (Oct. 15).

After Pattaya City police station’s radio centre got a report of an unidentified Indian business, 53, having being injured at a building in this seaside city with the ground floor being an Indian restaurant and rooms on the upper floors rented out, a police team quickly rushed there after alerting Sawang Boriboon Foundation rescuers to likewise go there to help out.

Rescuers found the Indian businessman bleeding profusely on his face from a two-inch long cut. They quickly gave him first aid and rushed him to Pattaya Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The workers told police that the attacker was a woman who had fled. She had rented a guest room yesterday morning and before attacking their boss had asked for a new key card claiming she had lost the one they had given her.

Upon being told that she would be fined 1,000 baht for losing the key card, she lifted the metal hand sanitizer stand and slashed their boss on the face before quickly running away.

Police checked the scene of the crime in detail and are going through surveillance camera clips to track down the attacker.

The Indian businessman is still under close medical care and will be going to the police station to file a complaint later.
