Police raid Pattaya club at 3 a.m., 16 hookah burners seized

 

AT RAID on a Pattaya club at 3 a.m. this morning (Dec. 3) found around 150 foreign tourists drinking, dancing and smoking hookah with 16 hookah burners seized, TV Channel 7 said.

Pol. Col. Chakraphan Kittisiripornkul, deputy chief of Chonburi police, together with  Pol. Col. Kulchat Kulchai, superintendent of Pattaya City police station, led the team that raided Flexx Club on Walking Street in the wee hours of this morning.

Police have been cracking down on Pattya’s entertaining venues to ensure they shut at 2 a.m. legal closing time. While most complied with the regulation, some remained open with the raided club being one of them.

Police checked the ID cards and passports of the revellers who were having a fun drinking, dancing and smoking hookah with 16 hookah burners seized as evidence.

Detained was the club manager who was charged with operating a club and selling alcohol beyond the shut down time and having smuggled hookah burners at the venue.
