PRIME MINISTER PRAYUT Chan-o-cha today (Jan.29) was dared to take part in an open debate between partisan contestants for prime minister.
Pheu Thai leader Chonlanan Srikaew challenged Prayut to join the proposed debate between varied partisan contenders for prime minister somewhere in near future where they could openly manifest their vision on varied issues.
Chonlanan insisted that the people in all parts of the country learn of any visions of different candidates for prime minister well ahead of the next general election so they may make their decision and cast their vote accordingly.
Prayut who is seeking to retain power for two more years under the Ruam Thai Sang Chart banners earlier said he would not have so much rhetoric on tap during his campaign speeches as his rivals do.
Expected to join in the sought-after public debate as partisan contestants for prime minister are a trio of Pheu Thai partisan candidates for prime minister including de facto party boss/former premier Thaksin Shinawatra’s daughter Paetongtarn Shinawatra and real estate tycoon Settha Taweesin, Palang Pracharath leader-cum-Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan, who will be named as the sole Palang Pracharath contender for prime minister, Bhumjaithai leader-cum-Deputy Prime Minister-cum-Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Move Forward leader Pita Limjaroenrat, both of whom will also be named partisan candidates for head of a post-election government, among others.
