FORMER MP and graft-buster Chuwit Kamolvisit today (Mar. 2) challenged a former Special Branch policeman to a boxing bout when the latter arrived at the Metropolitan police headquarters to ask for speeding up of his nine complaints against the former, Thai Rath newspaper said.
Just as Mr. Santhana Prayoonrat, or Deputy Tor, arrived at the Met police office and was getting out of his car while greeting the press Chuwit dashed towards him but was blocked by policemen from getting too close to prevent chaos.
Chuwit yelled out to Santhana to settle the conflict face-to-face in a manly manner and that he had brought a pair of boxing gloves for him to wear.
He then said he was ready to fight one-handed while showing his boxing skills and footwork but policemen surrounded him to prevent trouble.
While talking to the media Santhana turned to Chuwit and said he was ready to meet him anyway but not at the Met police headquarters because he used to work there.
He added that he is going to file another complaint against Chuwit taking the total to 10.
