Prayut cancels, postpones trips over swollen hand

 

PRIME Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha cancelled an inspection trip to Ratchaburi today (Mar. 4) while postponing a visit to Songkhla during Mar. 8-9 due to swollen and inflamed right hand with other trips under consideration, Matichon newspaper said.

However, Mr. Ankha Burapachaisri, a spokesman for the Prime Minister’s Office, said he will be coming to work at Government House as usual.

Gen. Prayut went to Phramongkutklao Hospital for treatment this morning with a thorough checkup and X-ray showing that his right hand is severely inflamed. He is required to take antibiotics for treatment and it was recommended that he refrain from travelling while recovering.

After returning from a trip to Ayutthaya to his residence within the premises of the First Infantry Regiment yesterday Prayut got his personal physician to examine his swollen hand who recommended that he undergo a detailed examination at the hospital.
