Man saved from jumping down from BTS Asoke station

 

AT around 7 a.m. this morning (May 11) a man climbed over and crouched at the edge of BTS Asoke station fence seemingly getting ready to kill himself by jumping down but was stopped from doing so by station staff and firemen who finally managed to rescue him, Matichon newspaper quoted FM91 Trafficpro radio station as saying.

Amarin Radio Centre was alerted of the unidentified man getting ready to jump down from this station at Sukhumvit-Asoke intersection after climbing over the platform fence and precariously clinging on to it.

Firemen from Bangkapi fire and rescue station put an air cushion on the ground as they persuaded the distressed man to step back from danger.

It was over an hour later at 8.11 a.m. before they managed to rescue him with there being a lot of people and cars passing by during the morning rush hour.
