FOUR PEOPLE were injured after a transformer near Vanit building on Wireless road, close to the turning to New Phetchaburi road, short-circuited and triggered a fire that raced down communication lines at 10.25 a.m. this morning (Aug. 30), Matichon and JSRadio100 said.
Firemen from Phayathai station rushed to put out the blaze at the key Wireless-New Phetchaburi intersection with Metropolitan Electricity Authority officials also joining them.
By 11.09 a.m. Praram Radio Centre 199 said the fire had been put out and this intersection is now open to traffic as usual.
Altogether four people were injured and four motorcycles damaged in the blaze with those hurt quickly taken to nearby hospitals.
