Srettha pays respect to spirit shrine, fully ready for policy showdown

 

PRIME MINISTER Srettha Thavisin entered Parliament compound at the auspicious moment of 7.59 a.m. this morning (Sep. 11) and after paying respect to a spirit shine there told reporters he is fully ready for the policy statement debate scheduled to continue over the next two days, Matichon newspaper said.

Srettha said he is not only ready for the debate he is also ready to hear the opinions of all sides while hoping for harmouse atmosphere in the House of Representatives.

He admitted that he was excited about entering Parliament for the first time and asked for blessing from all that is sacred in the premises to protect the country.

After paying respect to the spirit shine Srettha also went in a golf cart to pay homage to the statue of His Majesty King Prajadhipok which is enshrined at Parliament Museum.

Meanwhile, Move Forward said in its statement posted on Facebook this morning that the party has lined up 31 lawmakers to debate various points of the Srettha coalition government’s policy statement with this starting at 9 a.m. today.

The statement also said that the country needs transition and the people want change but why is “the state refusing to change?”

What is the price the people have to pay for an extension of the government of Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha et al, Move Forward asked.

“Not only do they not dare but they also have no idea how to reach the root cause of problems,”  Move Forward added in its statement.
