Party leader to ask whether a stand-in was arrested in policeman’s murder

AS A LOT of people are questioning whether the real former village headman or a stand-in has been arrested in the murder of a policeman at his house earlier this month the leader of Thai Civilized Party will now submit a letter to Justice Minister Thawee Sodsong to again verify the suspect’s identify, Amarin TV said today (Sep. 17).

Mr. Mongkolkit Suksintharanont, or Tae Rama 7, former party list MP and leader of this party, said people have noticed the difference in the eyes, eyebrows, lips, tip of nose and dimples between the detained suspect and the real former village headman Mr. Praween Chanklai, or Kamnan Nok, 34.

It was in his house that Pol. Maj. Siwakorn Saibua, or Inspector Bank, was shot dead and  Pol. Lt. Col. Wasin Panpee injured during a party there on the night of Sep. 6.

Praween’s subordinate, Mr. Thananchai Manmak, or Nong Thapha, 45, had fled after the shooting but was tracked down in Kanchanaburi where he was shot dead in an exchange of gunfire with police.

“On Monday I will submit a letter to the Justice Ministry to check the 10 fingerprints of Kamnan Nok, who is accused of killing Inspector Bank with Kamnan Nok in prison. Is it the same person?” Mongkolkit said in a Facebook post.

Later one netizen protested saying Mongkolkit was just causing a headache for officials, but he replied that he was taking action because people had complained on his page.

Meanwhile Nakhon Pathom Governor Surasak Charoensirichot today signed an order dismissing Praween from  a committee inspecting and following up police work in this province where he was an expert in the field of religion and culture.
