JUST two days after a man plunged to his death after stepping on a piece of decaying plywood covering a tube well at a traffic island on Lat Phrao road, another damaged manhole cover was found in the same area last evening (May 4), Amarin TV said.
Rescuers were alerted about the damaged manhole cover on Lat Phrao road in Phlapphla subdistrict, Wang Thonglang district, with this being dangerous for motorists and commuters.
This manhole not firmly covered is in an area under the jurisdiction of Wang Thonglang police station and has led to people getting frightened with the death of Mr. Kamthorn Jaruanan, 59, who fell into Metropolitan Electricity Administration’s tube well on Thursday still fresh in the mind.
