PM rooting for England In UEFA Euro 2024

PRIME MINISTER SRETTHA Thavisin said today (June 6) he is definitely rooting for England in the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024 football championship.

Among a total of 24 national teams contesting the UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany, the prime minister told reporters he is decidedly rooting for England, one of the all-time favourites.

Nevertheless, England has never won a UEFA Euro football championship since it was held for the first time in 1960 whilst Germany and Spain have won it three times and France and Italy two times.

Among the top 10 favourites in the UEFA Euro 2024 scheduled to kick off at 10 stadiums throughout Germany on June 14 and end on July 14 are England, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain and hosts Germany.

Other contestants are Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, the Netherlands, Albania, Austria, Czech, Georgia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Scotland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the Pheu Thai-attached prime minister confirmed people in Thailand can view all Euro football matches live and free on the state-run TV Channels 9 and 11.

Summit Footwear Co., run by Komol Juangroongruangkit, brother to Pheu Thai-attached Transport Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit, has bought a UEFA copyright for Thailand’s live broadcasting of all Euro 2024 football matches for an undisclosed amount of money.
