A THAI court has dismissed the case against a Swiss man who was accused by a Thai woman doctor of having kicked her as she sat on the stairs leading from his villa to Cape Yamu beach in Phuket last February, Sanook.com and Naewna newspaper said today (Sept. 3).
It was reported that the case was dismissed after the court gave benefit of doubt to the defendant, Mr. Urs Fehr, or David, 45,.
When reporters contacted Dr. Thandao Chandam, who is attached to Dibuk Hospital and had said she was kicked by the defendant as she sat on the stairs watching the moon on the night of Feb. 24, she refused to give any clarification.
Thandao had filed a complaint against Fehr which led to his visa being revoked.
On March 5, acting governor Mr. Sattha Thongkham had sent an urgent letter to Phuket Immigration Police Chief to consider revoking Fehr’s visa and the next night Pol. Maj. Gen. Songprot Sirisukha, commander of Immigration Police Bureau 6, had approved revocation.
However Fehr has appointed a representative to appeal to the Immigration Police Review Committee to consider cancelling this revocation.
