EVEN AS Thai netizens joined the whole country in mourning the tragic death of 23 mainly kindergarten and primary schoolchildren and teachers in a bus that caught fire on Vibhavadi Rangsit road while on a field trip on Monday (Oct. 1), a special focus is on an heroic young boy who had managed to escape but then went back into the bus to save his friends and dying there, Naewna and Matichon newspapers said this morning (Oct. 3).
His heroic deed was shared by a Facebook user who mentioned that a teacher said the boy, whose nickname is Poo Aad, had got out of the burning bus but dashed back to save his two friends and died there.
A message from his family was also shared, “A child who goes everywhere with his father, always by his father’s side, now how is your father going to live?
“Aad, my nephew, you are the best. @PooAad travel home safely today, don’t get lost, come back to meet everyone at home.”
This post attracted over 50,000 comments and was shared more than 37,000 times. Lots of netizens offered their condolences and praised the young boy.
