WITH the Paetongtarn Shinawatra government implementing everything that her father/de facto Pheu Thai boss Thaksin Shinawatra says, it is clear that he is the real boss, former MP Thepthai Senapong said in his Facebook post “Thepthai -Talking about Politics” with the topic being “Thaksin is the Real Owner of the Government” today (Dec. 22).
Thepthai, a former Democrat lawmaker, mentioned that Thaksin recently gave a special lecture on the topic “The Future of Isan, an Opportunity for Thailand” at Rajabhat University in Nakhon Ratchasima which can be summarized as follows
– Creating soft power or OTOP products in the Isan region;
– Introducing an app to receive information from the public to seriously suppress drug problem;
– Proposed that government bonds be brought into the economic system by issuing short-term bonds for sale to the public in the form of coins which they could either use or hold on to and this will boost the gross domestic product (GDP) to 4-5% from current 2%.
It is likely that Thaksin’s vision for the Northeast will definitely be implemented by this government because everything that he says is quickly introduced, he said, pointing to this government’s policy statement delivered in Parliament by Paetongtarn being criticised as being similar to a speech he earlier gave outlining his vision for Thailand.
Even regarding the establishment of a special committee to suppress influential people which Thaksin said should be headed by Paetongtarn, despite the panel not being set up yet the police immediately started taking action against them, Thepthai said, adding that Thaksin’s ideas are now even more sacred than government orders.
As everything Thaksin says is a working guideline for this government there is therefore no doubt as to whether Thaksin or Paetongtarn is the real prime minister, he said.
It is no longer true to say “Father does, daughter repairs” because with this government “Father thinks, Father determines, Father directs, Father orders” through his daughter.
