KHAO San road was packed with Thai and foreign revellers today (Apr, 15), the last day of Songkran celebration on this famous street, while police and Phra Nakhon district officials were maintaining peace and order, Naewna newspaper said.
Traffic was only allowed to flow in and out of this zone one way, entering via Chakkra Phong road and exiting via Tanao road, with there being four emergency exits.
If Khao San road gets too crowded, entry will be closed and reopened again after an appropriate interval.
In addition, motorlances (motorcycle ambulances) were stationed there to conveniently take patients to ambulances parked outside in case of an emergency.
