TWO soldiers from the 15th Engineering Battalion got injured in Yala late afternoon today (May 7) after a bomb planted by insurgents exploded as they were returning to their lodgings, Amarin TV said.
The injured soldiers were part of a team which is dredging a canal along a railway line from Koto Tuera subdistrict to Noen Ngam subdistrict, Raman district.
As they were heading back to their lodgings at 5.20 p.m. the bomb exploded at Koto Tuera subdistrict.
Injured were SgtMaj. Jamorn Channiyom, who suffered from tinnitus, and SgtMaj. Phanupong Phanchan, who suffered from chest tightness and a fractured eyebrow.
