Myanmar military drones blast scam compound again

THE MYANMAR junta again pounded KK Park, the notorious scam complex at Myawaddy township, Kayin state, yesterday (Oct. 30) with its drones dropping bombs three times and this leading to more fearful foreign workers fleeing across the border to the Thai Mae Sot district, just across from Moei river, Amarin TV said.

Karen Border Guard Force, which is allied with the junta, bombed an office building within the compound, which is opposite Mae Ku Mai Tha Sung village, Mae Ku subdistrict, three times yesterday, the most ever it has unleashed in a single day, the eighth day of bombings.

There was no impact on Thai territory but each bombing produced big plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

Karen sources said that the Myanmar junta will continue destroying KK Park, with the goal of blowing up as many as 80 buildings within the scam complex.

The number of foreigners fleeing the Myanmar military crackdown on scammers continues to rise and as of yesterday there were 1,575 of them from 28 countries sheltering on the Thai side.
