Another Thai man tortured to death at Poipet

A NON-GOVERNMENT Organisation revealed today (Nov. 23) that another Thai man has died in Poipet, Cambodia, after being tortured and electrocuted and it is uncertain whether his body will be recovered, Amarin TV said.

The Immanuel Foundation Thailand said in a Facebook post that information about the death of Mr. Narong Kam, also known as Don, from Mae Ai district, Chiang Mai province, was received at 5 p.m. yesterday.

He died in Bua Lai area of Poipet where last Tuesday (Nov. 18) Mr. Sarawut, or Toto, a resident of Samut Prakan, was said to have been similarly tortured to death at a scam complex with two Thai women having also recently died at this Cambodian border town.

Ms. Suthatip, 28, was found hanged at the window of her room on Nov. 3 but it is uncertain whether her death was suicide or murder while on Oct. 29 Ms. Kanokwan, 27, allegedly fell to her death from the third floor of a building there.

The foundation added that it does not know where his body is and those who knew him or worked with him are urged to get in touch so as to get more information.

The NGO has obtained permission to publish this image of Narong from his family in order to find out what happened to him and also contact his close friend who was also assaulted and while still alive has now disappeared from Bua Lai area with his fate unknown.
