PRIME MINISTER Anutin Charnvirakul said before flying to Hat Yai city, Songkhla province, today (Nov. 28) for a fourth visit since severe flooding began last Friday that while the situation has improved District 8 remained inundated but refused to comment about concerns over Mafia in that district, Naewna newspaper said.
Anutin was accompanied by Public Health Minister Pattana Promphat, Culture Minister Sabida Thaiseth and Secretary-General to the Prime Minister Traisulee Traisaranakul. Upon arrival, he will attend a meeting with relevant agencies at the Disaster Relief Centre, 4th Army Region Forward Command, Senanarong Camp, Hat Yai district.
Anutin said before leaving the air force base at Don Meuang Airport that he had prepared all necessary assistance and any shortcomings will be addressed immediately.
He added that the situation is showing signs of improvement and he will be monitoring how the people in this southern city are faring.
Reporters asked him about rehabilitating District 8 amid issues over the Mafia there but he refused to reply.
On this fourth visit to Hat Yai Anutin does not have a specific schedule for visiting any particular zones and will be assessing the situation onsite.
