PATTAYA police are investigating an Australian man’s fall from the sixth floor of a hotel after his face was slashed with a knife today (Sep. 17), Amarin TV said.
Pol. Lt. Sonthaya Khanthrap, deputy inspector of Pattaya City police station, along with investigation officers, Pattaya Tourist Police officers, rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Dhammasathan Foundation, medical personnel and an ambulance from Pattaya City Hospital rushed to the hotel upon being alerted of the unidentified, 55-year-old man’s fall.
At the scene, a seven-storey hotel, the Australian man was found lying on the road, groaning in pain with there being a wound on the left side of his face.
Next to him was a vehicle with a big dent on the bonnet likely caused by this man landing there then bouncing off onto the road. He was given first aid then rushed to the hospital.
Police inspected his sixth floor hotel room and found a blood-stained knife there. They are now investigating why he possibly wounded himself then jumped off the balcony.
