PATTAYA police quickly arrested a naked foreign man who hit vehicles passing through an intersection at South Pattaya Two road and at times stood still as if praying as he looked at the sun, TV Channel 7 said today (Oct. 20).
At 9 a.m. Pol. Lt. Panupong Nimsuvarn, a traffic inspector at Pattaya City police station, got a report of a foreigner walking around naked at Wat Chai Mongkol intersection and quickly sent a patrol team to investigate.
Upon arrival they saw this tall foreign man, approximately 40 years old, running around hitting passing cars and at times stretching his arms out and facing the sun, seemingly praying for blessing from the gods, with local people and tourists dazed by his action.
Police quickly took him into custody and as he was intoxicated and incoherent sent him to the hospital.
Mr. Chatchai, 51, a motorcycle taxi rider in the area, recounted that the foreigner appeared delirious as he walked naked along South Pattaya road then stopped at the red light and started chasing and hitting passing cars while at times stopping to pray, so he quickly called the police.
