IN AN EFFORT to decrease PM2.5 dust pollution the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and the BTS Group have kicked off “Fight against Dust” campaign, encouraging Bangkok residents to change the engine oil and filters of their vehicles with receipts exchangeable for vouchers at participating stations, TV Channel 7 said today (Feb. 6).
Mr. Chatchart Sittipunt, governor of Bangkok, said encouraging residents to pay more attention to vehicle maintenance would help reduce concentration PM.2.5, which are tiny particulate matter that can dangerously clog lungs, and contribute to building a green economy.
Participants can exchange proof of engine oil and filter changes for vouchers by registering on the Green List with around 200,000 people having already done so and it is expected that more will join with the target being approximately 500,000 people.
“The best way to reduce pollution is to reduce the use of private cars and switch to public transportation, especially the BTS Skytrain, which uses electricity and is environmentally friendly.
“However, if it is necessary to use a car, please maintain it regularly to prevent it from becoming a source of environmental pollution,” Chatchart said.
The terms and conditions for redeeming the voucher are as follows:
1/ Register at Green List Plus with this open from Oct. 20, 2025 to March 31, 2026.
2/ Receipts must clearly show the vehicle registration number, with handwritten jotting not accepted.
3/ Present the original receipt from participating partners to redeem a 100 baht voucher at ticket counters of four stations: Mo Chit, Chong Nonsi, Siam and Asok from today until March 31, 2026, or until vouchers run out. Participation in this programme is reserved exclusively for Rabbit Reward members.
