PEOPLE’S MP Rangsiman Rome was today (Oct.1) literally ordered to step out of the chamber of the House of Representatives after he had accused a Bhumjaithai MP’s spouse as a suspect in a transnational scam and money-laundering network and refused to withdraw his word.
The Bhumjaithai-attached Deputy House Speaker Mallika Jirapanwanich sternly told Rangsiman to immediately leave the House chamber after he had charged Bhumjaithai MP Suchada Zhang Tansap’s spouse, namely Taiyang Zhang, an Australian national of Chinese descent, of being suspected of more or less involvement in the transnational, criminal racket and ultimately declined to retract his verbal accusation.
Without naming names, Rangsiman had alleged a woman lawmaker of Chaiyapum of having her husband so suspected among others, prompting Suchada to rise in protest because she happens to be the only woman lawmaker of that particular northeastern province and dared him to name names and produce any tangible evidence to substantiate it right in the middle of the House chamber otherwise, she said, she would be unfairly damaged.
The People’s MP who concurrently chairs the House Committee on Law, Justice & Human Rights was engaging in a fresh interpellation with Digital Economy & Society Minister Chaichanok Chidchob pertaining to yet-unclarified remarks earlier made by the minister himself that he had been quietly offered 40 million baht in payoff cash by such a transnational scam and money-laundering network preying on Thai people in exchange for his purportedly turning blind eye and deaf ear to such a crime preying on the Thais.
The digital economy minister who concurrently acts as secretary-general of the Bhumjaithai, core of the current coalition government, is son of de facto party boss Newin Chidchob.
